Negotiation Manager for Region Kronoberg

Do you have experience leading high-performing teams and developing the collective capabilities of a group? About the Position

We are now looking for an experienced and relationship-building Negotiation Manager for the central HR department of Region Kronoberg. The role of Negotiation Manager means that you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating the region's contract and negotiation work within the framework of labor law and collective agreements. You lead the work to ensure common interpretations and applications of laws and agreements as well as regulations within the field of labor law.

You coordinate the region's wage formation work and have functional responsibility for the payroll process. Together with your colleagues, you provide qualified advice in the field of labor law to managers, HR colleagues, and the political leadership. In the role of Negotiation Manager, you are stable and secure in the employer role. For many years, we have worked based on our collaboration agreement, together with trade union partners.

The position is located within the central HR department, which is responsible for strategic work in competence supply, management and leadership, labor law, wage formation, and work environment. About 30 employees work in the department. In addition to the Negotiation Manager, there are 5 HR strategists and HR specialists in the employer policy area.

You report to the HR Director and are part of the HR department's management team.

The position has a fixed-term managerial appointment of four (4) years.

The place of employment is Växjö.

Qualifications

You are good at creating constructive relationships and are unpretentious and professional. You leverage the competencies of those you work with. The role requires a good ability to work strategically while also being able to dive into details to understand and support the needs of the operations.

As a person, you are motivated by development in the field of labor law and have the ability to tackle complex processes. You are open to thinking innovatively and have a visionary outlook while maintaining high integrity and personal stability. Collaboration is a natural part of your leadership, and you can combine labor law expertise with a pragmatic approach to achieve good results. Being a culture-building representative of the organization's values is a strong driving force for you.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Several years of experience in a similar leadership role in a larger organization
  • Qualified experience in working with contractual issues, negotiations, and labor law at a strategic level in a complex organization
  • Experience in driving and developing issues within the field of labor law in close collaboration with HR staff, employee organizations, and managers
  • Relevant education from a college/university

Meritorious is:

  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the conditions within public and politically governed operations
  • Leadership training

The position will be classified for security protection and requires a successful security screening and background check in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The security screening process may mean that the recruitment process takes longer than usual.
